Environment of excellence

Operating from its base at Aachen, fionec GmbH also benefits from its integration into the top-quality R&D environment of the local technical elite university, the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH). Also, during several years of intensive development activities at the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT, close ties have been established with the scientists and engineers at the IPT Department for Production Metrology and Quality Management.

AdaptAR

Development of a system for generating customized technical instructions for the entire product life cycle in an AR environment.

FaserSpan

Development of fiber-coupled tools for resource-efficient laser-assisted precision machining of high-strength materials.

This project is funded as part of the European Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Innovation Voucher

The innovation project “Flexible Roughness Measurement” focuses on the development of a novel measuring device that enables a very flexible measurement of roughness on precision components.

The voucher is awarded as part of the ET2SMEs funding initiative for the development of innovative SME applications in technology fields related to the new Einstein telescope.

DPP – MaGeoOptik

Development of a fiber-optic measuring system for the contactless inspection of precision-manufactured lenses with complex geometries.

FRES­NE­LOPT

Development of an integrated measuring system for the rapid, high-accuracy inspection of Fresnel lenses at production speed.

FIPOF

Development of robust measuring technology used in manufacturing to perform contactless high-speed measurements at up to 1 MHz and with nanometer precision.
